Pune News: Two Killed As Speeding Bike Crashes Into Electric Pole On Jambhulwadi Road In Katraj
PUNE – Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic accident on Jambhulwadi Road in Ambegaon after a speeding motorcycle crashed into an iron electric pole. The deceased have been identified as Datta Kalyan Chormale, a resident of Jambhulwadi, and his friend Shrikant Gurav.
According to the police report filed by Constable Prakash Shinde at the Ambegaon Police Station, the accident occurred around midnight on Tuesday. Chormale was riding the motorcycle at high speed with his friend Gurav as a pillion rider. Near Gatha Swimming Pool, he lost control of the vehicle, which then slammed into an iron electric pole at the roadside. Both suffered severe head injuries.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Senior Police Inspector Sharad Zine visited the scene. The injured were rushed to a hospital, but both succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Police Sub-Inspector Suresh Shinde is investigating the case. Authorities have confirmed that overspeeding was the primary cause of the accident.
Additionally, in another accident near Katraj Dairy on Monday afternoon, a motorcyclist was killed after being hit by an ambulance. In the past two days, three people have lost their lives in separate road accidents in the Katraj area.
