Pune, June 29, 2025: The Wanawadi Police have arrested Santosh Laxman Rathod and Kunal More in connection with an incident of vandalism and criminal intimidation that occurred late on the night of June 28, 2025.

According to the official report filed by complainant Tukaram Vishnu Kamble, a resident of Wanawadi Gaothan, the accused had a history of enmity with Siddharth Kakade, who resides in the same locality. On the night of the incident, the accused mistook Kamble’s house for that of Kakade’s and smashed the glass windows of Kamble’s home.

The FIR states that the accused were armed and created panic in the neighborhood. The altercation stemmed from prior disputes between Santosh Rathod and Siddharth Kakade, and the accused were reportedly searching for Kakade at the time of the vandalism.

Police confirmed that Santosh Rathod has a previous criminal record. “The case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) 2013 including sections 143, 147, 427, 504, and 506, as well as the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951,” informed Senior Police Inspector Satyajit Adamane, Wanwadi Police Station.

The FIR was recorded on June 28. The investigation is currently underway under the supervision of PSI Babanrao Bankar, and the case is being handled by the Wanwadi Police Station, Pune City.
