Pune News: Warehouse Worker Booked for Alleged Theft of 280 Laptops Worth ₹1 Crore in Wagholi ( Representational Image )
PUNE: The Pune police have booked a warehouse worker, Suresh Kumar, for allegedly stealing 280 laptops worth ₹1 crore from a warehouse in Ubalenagar, Lonikand. The theft reportedly took place between 6 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Monday at Arcline Logistics and Warehousing Private Limited.
The incident came to light on Monday morning when the warehouse manager, Balkrushna Raut, noticed the lock was broken, and 280 laptops were missing. Raut immediately informed his seniors and filed a complaint at the Lonikand police station.
Suresh Kumar, who had been working as a helper at the warehouse for a month and a half, left his job on Friday due to salary disputes. The police suspect his involvement since he had access to the facility. An investigation is underway, and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at Lonikand police station.
