Pune: PCMC Completes Hearing On Objections To Draft Ward Structure For 32 Wards
Pimpri, September 10, 2025: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has concluded hearings on objections and suggestions submitted for its draft ward structure.
The session was held at the Auto Cluster Auditorium in Chinchwad under the chairmanship of Pravin Darade, Principal Secretary of the Cooperation and Marketing Department and the designated authority.
Senior civic officials, including Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Khorate, Election Department Assistant Commissioner Avinash Shinde, and Chief Engineer Pramod Ombhase, managed the proceedings, while several department heads were also present.
The draft comprising 32 wards was announced on August 22, 2025, with maps published on PCMC’s website and displayed at the municipal headquarters. Citizens were allowed to file objections and suggestions until September 4, 2025. The hearings, conducted ward-wise, provided objectors the opportunity to present their concerns and additional viewpoints.
Officials confirmed that each objection will be reviewed in line with government directives and ground realities before finalizing the ward structure. The approved plan will then be submitted to the state government for sanction.
