Pune: Petitioners Of UnclogHinjawadiITPark and Pimpri Chinchwad Police Join Hands To Tackle Traffic Chaos In Hinjawadi And Wakad
Pune, September 23, 2025: The #UnclogHinjawadiITPark campaign gained further momentum as petitioners Sachin Londhe and Sachin Gunale held a crucial meeting with Pimpri Chinchwad Police to address persistent traffic issues in the Hinjawadi and Wakad areas.
The meeting, chaired by Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, was attended by Additional Commissioner of Police Sarang Avhad, DCP Vivek Patil, ACP Satish Nandurkar, PI Sonwane, and PI Thorat. Senior PCMC officials, including Bapu Gaikwad and Executive Engineer Sunil Pawar, also participated following CP Choubey’s directive for a detailed traffic survey.
As part of the review, the team inspected ten critical traffic hotspots, including Wakad Hinjawadi Bridge, Hinjawadi Indian Oil Chowk, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, Bhujbal Chowk, Phoenix Mall Road, Western Avenue society, Kala Khadak Signal, and Dange Chowk. Several solutions and ideas were discussed on-site to improve traffic flow.
During the visit, CP Choubey also attended the Navratri Mahotsav Puja at Western Avenue society, where Chairman Sudharkar Diwan and Godbole thanked the police for their prompt response to the invitation.
Petitioners Londhe and Gunale expressed their gratitude to the police and PCMC authorities for their continued engagement, noting that this marked the third visit by CP Choubey to Hinjawadi IT Park. They emphasized their commitment to working with the authorities to achieve smoother, traffic-free roads in the region.
