Pune, October 10, 2025: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have registered a case against a woman from Beed for allegedly selling a property worth ₹4.84 crore that had been legally attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The complaint was lodged by Assistant Director Shailendra Kumar Ravindra Kumar Gupta of the ED, Mumbai, and a case has been registered at the Mahalunge MIDC Police Station under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate.

According to officials, the property located in Nighoje village, Khed Taluka, Pune District, had been attached by the ED under Sections 5 and 8(a) of the PMLA, 2002. Both Gupta and Deputy Director Kondari Balaji Gurudatta had officially informed the accused, a 44-year-old woman, of the attachment through written orders.

Despite being aware of the attachment, the woman allegedly proceeded to sell the property through a cash transaction. A sale deed was executed at the Sub-Registrar’s Office in Khed in February 2025, in clear violation of government directives.

The complaint alleges that the accused knowingly and willfully defied ED orders and committed fraud by selling an asset under legal restriction. The Mahalunge MIDC Police have initiated further investigation into the matter.
