Pune: PMC Demolishes 17,800 Sq Ft Of Illegal Constructions In Kondhwa Budruk and Yeolewadi
Pune, September 26, 2025: In a joint action drive, the Construction Development Department (Zone 2) and the Encroachment Department of Kondhwa Yeolewadi Regional Office of Pune Municipal Corporation, with assistance from police personnel and the Maharashtra Security Force, demolished unauthorized structures including tin sheds, small stalls, shops, and hotel-like illegal constructions built on front and side margins.
During the operation, a total of 17,800 sq ft of illegal front and side margin encroachments were cleared. Earlier, yesterday, PMC also demolished illegal structures raised by commercial establishments on Bibvewadi Kondhwa main road.

The drive was carried out under the guidance of PMC’s Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineer of Construction Department, Zone 2, along with Assistant Commissioners, Deputy Engineers, Junior Engineers, Encroachment Inspectors, and Assistant Encroachment Inspectors.
The operation deployed one JCB machine, one gas cutter, and ten encroachment workers to remove the structures.
Local residents stated that similar action must continue in other areas of the city as well and PMC must take stern action against the violators.
