According to a press release from the PMC’s Information and Public Relations Department, such installations not only obstruct traffic but also increase the risk of accidents and contribute to the visual deterioration of the city.

Effective immediately, any individual found installing unauthorized banners or flex boards without prior permission from the PMC will face legal action. A fine of ₹1,000 per board will be imposed, and any expenses incurred in removing these boards will be recovered from the defaulters.

Printing presses are also instructed not to print any banners or flex boards without obtaining prior approval from the PMC. They must ensure all required permits, including machine limits and stock licenses, are in place before continuing operations.
