Pune: PMC To Hold Mega E-Waste And Plastic Collection Drive In Undri From October 10–12
Pune, October 8, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation’s Solid Waste Management Department, through its Kondhwa Yewalewadi Regional Office, has announced a three-day household waste collection drive from October 10 to 12, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The initiative aims to collect unused household items, old mattresses, pillows, damaged furniture, religious photos and idols, electronic waste, and plastic waste in the area, ahead of the festive season.
Residents have been requested not to leave these items on public roads or open spaces, which can cause obstruction. Instead, a special collection center has been set up in front of Nyati Ebony Society, ahead of Country Club where all household waste will be gathered.
Officials, including Health Inspector Navnath Shelar (contact: 9689931072) and Dayanand Patole (Mokadam) (contact: 9822783757), have urged citizens to actively participate in the campaign and ensure proper disposal of old and unused items.
The drive emphasizes responsible waste management and encourages residents to contribute to a cleaner and safer Undri during the festive season. Citizens are urged to take note of the collection center and timings to ensure smooth participation.
