Pune: PMPML Launches ‘Mobile Pass Centres’ To Provide Monthly Passes
Pune, August 6, 2025: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) has launched a new initiative called the “Mobile Pass Centre” under the vision of its Chairman and Managing Director, Pankaj Devre. The initiative aims to make monthly travel passes easily accessible to commuters and students directly within their local areas.
The program was officially inaugurated today at the PMPML headquarters by Devre, in the presence of Deputy Managing Director Nitin Narvekar and CEO Asha Raut.

Key Features of the “Mobile Pass Centre”:
- Service Areas: Operates at six different locations across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and rural PMRDA zones from Monday to Saturday.
- Facilities for Passengers: Monthly pass services for students, senior citizens, and the general public; details on PMC’s subsidized pass schemes will also be provided.
- Payment Modes: Payments accepted via cash, QR code, and POS machines.
- Awareness Campaigns: Commuters will receive information about PMPML services like Pune Darshan, Pune Tourism Bus, PMPML Mobile App, Women’s Special Buses, and Night Ratrani Buses.
- Objective: To provide convenience to citizens and students while boosting PMPML’s revenue.
Weekly Schedule (7:30 AM – 1:30 PM):
- Monday: SNDT College (Metro Station)
- Tuesday: Dhawade Gate (NDA Gate Circle)
- Wednesday: Khadi Machine Chowk (KJ & JK College)
- Thursday: Radha Chowk (Baner-Balewadi)
- Friday: Hinjawadi Village (Shivaji Chowk)
- Saturday: Akurdi Railway Station
This initiative is expected to enhance public access to PMPML’s services and may expand to other areas based on commuter needs and revenue considerations.
