Pune: Police Arrest Trio for Social Media Posts Linking Bishnoi and Dawood Ibrahim
The murder of Baba Siddique, a leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, has sparked renewed discussions about gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and the infamous criminal Dawood Ibrahim. In Loni Kalbhor, police have arrested three people for sharing social media posts that included images of Bishnoi and Ibrahim.
As per information, on October 20, at around 6:30 pm, a 40-year-old man filed a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station. The arrested individuals were subsequently presented before First Class Judicial Magistrate TS Gaigole.
Assistant Public Prosecutor Adv. Bhagyashree Sancheti (Dangale) argued that the accused might have connections to Dawood Ibrahim’s gang and requested an investigation into the following :
1. Whether the suspects are linked to Dawood’s gang.
2. Who was responsible for creating and promoting the objectionable posts.
3. If there are any other individuals involved.
Adv. Sancheti requested police custody for the accused, which the court approved until October 23.
