Pune Police Seize 190 Bottles Of Illegal Drugs From Hadapsar Raid; Two Arrested
Pune, March 11, 2025: The Hadapsar Police have arrested two individuals for the illegal sale of Mephentermine Sulphate (Termine) injections, a drug frequently misused for intoxication. In a major crackdown, police seized 190 bottles of the banned substance, valued at ₹1 lakh, during a raid in Hadapsar, Pune.
Police Raid and Arrests
Acting on a tip-off, a Hadapsar Police team led by Senior Inspector Sanjay Mogle and Crime Inspector Nilesh Jagdale conducted a raid in the area. The operation resulted in the arrest of Yogesh Suresh Raut (25) – Resident of Ghulevasti Heights, Manjari Budruk, Pune and Nisar Chand Sheikh (23) – Resident of Ghadge Galli, Hadapsar, Pune.
During the search, officials initially found 60 bottles of Mephentermine Sulphate Injection IP. Further investigation led to the discovery of an additional 130 bottles, bringing the total seized quantity to 190 bottles.
Health Risks and Legal Consequences
These injections, which require a doctor’s prescription, were being sold illegally without a medical license. Medical experts warn that the unauthorized use of Maphentermine Sulphate can lead to severe toxicity and life-threatening health complications.
A case has been registered at Hadapsar Police Station under:
- Sections 123, 275, 278, and 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for unauthorized drug sale and public endangerment.
The accused are in police custody, and authorities are conducting further investigations to identify potential links to a larger drug supply network.

Police Intensify Crackdown on Drug Offenses
This successful operation was carried out under the leadership of Manoj Patil – Additional Commissioner of Police, Pune, Dr. Rajkumar Shinde – Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 5 and Anuradha Udamale – Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hadapsar Division.
Authorities have assured continued crackdowns on illegal drug trade, warning that strict action will be taken against anyone found selling or distributing banned substances.
