A joint operation by the Pune city police and the food and drugs department uncovered a large-scale operation producing adulterated paneer. The raid, conducted at an illegal manufacturing unit in Manjri Khurd, resulted in the seizure of over 1,400 kg of adulterated paneer, valued at ₹11,56,690.

Acting on a tip-off received by Police amaldar Sachin Pawar and Ramesh Memane on Friday, police launched a raid at a suspected dairy product manufacturing unit in Manik Nagar. The raid, led by Police Inspector Wahid Pathan and his team, targeted the illegal operation suspected of producing and distributing substandard dairy products.

The raid revealed a shocking disregard for hygiene and safety. The manufacturing unit was found to be operating in unsanitary conditions, using harmful chemicals and synthetic ingredients to produce paneer. This adulterated paneer was intended for sale in local markets, putting consumers at serious risk of health problems.
