Starting January 9, seizure warrants will be issued, authorizing administrative officers to seize properties. Actual seizures will begin on January 13.
Currently, properties with arrears exceeding ₹3 lakhs are being targeted in the ongoing seizure campaign. From January, properties with unpaid current-year taxes will also be included in the defaulters’ list and will be eligible for seizure. Regular updates on penalties and late fees are shared through newspapers, SMS, telecalling, and social media.
Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, Additional Commissioner, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation said, “Regular taxpayers have significantly contributed to revenue collection. Property owners who have not yet paid their dues are urged to do so by December 31 to avoid a 2% monthly late fee and seizure action, thereby contributing to the city’s development.”
