Pune, October 4, 2025: Residents of the Mahalunge area have raised serious concerns over long-standing civic issues, urging authorities to take immediate action. According to community representatives, basic facilities including proper roads, traffic management, water supply, and waste disposal remain unaddressed, causing repeated accidents, health hazards, and daily hardships for thousands of families.

Jayesh Sanjay Murkute, a social activist said, “The town planning scheme announced in 2017 has also not been implemented, leaving residents uncertain about their land, future housing, and access to essential amenities.”

Community members describe the situation as more than an inconvenience, framing it as a matter of safety, dignity, and justice.
