Pune: Residents Of Vanaha Township In Lavale Raise Alarms Over Poor Facilities And Delayed Promises
Pune, July 12, 2025: Residents of Shapoorji Pallonji Real Estate’s at Vanaha Township in Lavale, have raised serious concerns over poor infrastructure, incomplete amenities, and what they describe as unfulfilled promises by the developer.
Several residents allege that despite repeated complaints, there has been little progress in addressing critical issues such as the incomplete access road, unsafe surroundings due to landslides, and substandard water filtration systems.
‘Endless Delays and Health Hazards’
Santosh Kumar, a flat buyer who moved in January, expressed his frustration: “The access road remains in a terrible state even in July. Construction work continues endlessly, and the water filtration system is questionable. My father fell ill recently. We also face frequent elevator failures, and the building lacks finesse. Despite repeated requests, there is no time-bound response from the developer.”
Lopamudra Pramanik, an architect and resident since March 2025, added: “The approach road has regular landslides, and recently a cab was hit by falling debris. Drinking water remains a major concern as the WTP system doesn’t filter properly. Fire hydrants are damaged, water is leaking within flats, and the promised shuttle service never started. Even basic security is lacking, and electrical systems have multiple faults.”
Another resident, Vaibhav commented that there are several issues starting from access roads, drinking water, construction quality, no amenities operational for the residents and as a buyer we are not given promises but no solution to it. We have invested our hard earned money but now we feel cheated.
Residents’ List of Complaints:
- Incomplete access road from Bavdhan’s Khandoba Mandir to the complex despite assurances of a four-lane stretch.
- No protective measures to prevent landslides, posing a safety risk.
- Cracks in walls and poor construction quality in flats and common areas.
- Plumbing and leakage problems in multiple apartments.
- Non-functional lifts for differently-abled residents.
- Unfinished amenities such as squash courts, a crèche, coworking spaces, and a swimming pool that often remains shut.
- Despite collecting advance maintenance charges till October 2025, residents were informed funds might run out by June-end.
