Pune, July 18, 2025: In Pune rural district, landlords have been instructed to provide details of their tenants, including name, current address, permanent address, two photographs, name and address of a reference person, rental agreement, and identity proof, to the local police station.

These orders have been issued by Additional District Magistrate Jyoti Kadam.

Given the significant presence of industrial areas in the rural district and the high number of workers renting homes, the authorities emphasized the need for police to have complete information about tenants to enable swift action in case of any criminal or terrorist activities.
