Pune Rural Police Crack High-Value Tipper Theft Case, Arrest Two; ₹8 Lakh Vehicle Recovered
Pune, July 25, 2026: The Vadgaon Nimbalkar Police in Pune Rural have solved a tipper truck theft case by arresting two accused and recovering the stolen vehicle worth ₹8 lakh. The operation was carried out within days of the theft, using CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and confidential intelligence.
According to police, the theft occurred between 8 pm on July 22 and 9 am on July 23 at the Hindustan Petroleum fuel station owned by Malshikhare in Mudhale village, Baramati taluka. Following the incident, a case was registered at Wadgaon Nimbalkar Police Station under BNS Section 303(2).
Acting on the directions of senior officers, Assistant Police Inspector Jeevan Mohite formed a special investigation team. During the probe, police analysed CCTV footage and gathered technical and intelligence inputs, which led them to Waluj MIDC in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The police arrested Rahul Vitthal Karale (31) and Aditya Ramesh Karale (25), both residents of Siregaon in Gangapur taluka, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. The stolen tipper truck was recovered from their possession, and police seized property valued at ₹8 lakh.
The investigation is being conducted by Police Havaldar Bhagwat Patil. The operation was carried out under the guidance of Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandeepsingh Gill, Additional Superintendent of Police Ganesh Biradar, and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Chaitanya Kadam, with the assistance of the Wadgaon Nimbalkar Police investigation team.
