Pune, August 25, 2025: In a major safety and convenience initiative for Ganesh devotees, a ₹50-crore insurance cover has been arranged by the trust for visitors across Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), and Cantonment Board areas during the festival.

The insurance includes coverage in case of stampede, terrorist attack, or aerial strike during the celebration period. Under the policy, a compensation of ₹5 lakh will be provided to the family of any person in case of accidental death, ₹2 lakh for partial disability, and up to ₹50,000 for medical expenses for injuries sustained in an accident.

To ensure smooth darshan, four LED screens will be installed—three inside the festival pavilion near Laxmibai Dagdusheth Halwai Datta Mandir and Moolchand shop, and one at Budhwar Chowk. Devotees can also access live online darshan through the trust’s website, app, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter handles. The links provided are:

For enhanced security, around 150 CCTV cameras have been installed at key points including Faraskhana Chowk, Babu Genu Ganpati, Laxmibai Dagdusheth Halwai Datta Mandir, and City Post areas. The trust’s private security team of 250 personnel, along with police, will monitor the premises round-the-clock.
