In Nashik district, the risk of swine flu has raised concerns as two people have tragically lost their lives to the virus in Malegaon.

While these cases are being addressed in hospitals, citizens are rightfully upset at the perceived lack of proactive measures from the health system.

Despite this, the Malegaon Municipal Corporation urges citizens to stay vigilant without succumbing to panic. Following three reported cases in Nashik, authorities have stepped up efforts to contain the spread of swine flu. Amidst the already prevalent viral fever outbreak, the district’s health system is on high alert, issuing guidelines for prevention. 

Therefore, to shield oneself from swine flu, maintaining proper hygiene is crucial. Simple yet effective practices include frequent handwashing with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing, and before handling food. Furthermore, individuals are advised to wash hands thoroughly before and after any exposure to pigs, whether in barns or show arenas. 

When soap and water are unavailable, using alcohol-based hand rubs can serve as an alternative.
