In a narrative befitting a crime thriller, the mysterious disappearance of a teenager from Khed in Pune has unfolded into a harrowing tale of abduction and murder. On March 16, Aditya Bhangare, an 18-year-old resident of Mahalunge Ingale, was last heard from around 4 PM when he spoke to his mother. When repeated calls to his phone went unanswered, his worried family reported him missing at the Mahalunge MIDC police station the next day.

The investigation took an unexpected turn when Bhangare’s phone was traced to Goa, suggesting a deliberate attempt to mislead the police. However, as the Pimpri-Chinchwad police delved deeper, they uncovered a gruesome plot. Bhangare had been murdered, and his body was set ablaze in a secluded forest in Gujarat.

The post depicted the disfigured body of Ritesh Pawar, a murder victim, accompanied by a provocative message. This post enraged Ritesh’s elder brother, Rahul Pawar, a criminal with multiple offenses on his record. Rahul, along with his accomplices, devised a plan to abduct and kill Bhangare in retaliation.

The breakthrough in the case came unexpectedly. A team from Chakan police station, investigating a separate shooting incident involving hotel owner Swapnil Shinde, apprehended a suspect named Amar Shinde. Under interrogation, Amar divulged details about Bhangare’s murder, revealing the sinister conspiracy.

It was discovered that on the pretext of a meeting, Bhangare was lured and kidnapped from the Mahalunge MIDC area. He was then brutally assaulted and strangled with a wire inside the car used for his abduction. To cover their tracks, the suspects transported his phone to Goa and disposed of his body in the forests of Vapi district, Gujarat.

Amar Shinde was subsequently arrested, while a manhunt was launched for the prime accused Rahul Pawar and three other conspirators. The partially burnt remains of Bhangare were later found by the police, bringing a tragic end to a chilling mystery.
