The anti-encroachment drive at Sinhagad Fort is currently underway and still ongoing. Therefore, the fort will remain completely closed to the public and tourists for the next three days – from May 31 to June 2, 2025.

Access via trekking routes will also be restricted during this period. Citizens and tourists are kindly requested to cooperate with the administration.

Due to the inaccessibility of heavy machinery like JCBs and vehicles on the fort, the removal of certain permanent RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) structures is still pending. All demolition work is being carried out manually, which is causing some delays.

However, the administration is making every possible effort, and the operation is expected to be successfully completed soon.
