Pune: Thief Flees With Bullet Bike Under Pretense Of Test Ride in Undri, Case Filed In Kondhwa Police Station Â
Pune, November 15, 2024: A thief escaped with a Bullet motorcycle under the guise of taking a test ride from a used vehicle dealership in Kondhwa. Police have registered a case against the young man who disappeared with the bike.
In a complaint filed by Altamash Zarif Sheikh (27, resident of Ramtekdi) at Kondhwa Police Station, the incident unfolded on October 26, while Sheikh was at the dealership where he works in the Undri area, dealing in the buying and selling of used vehicles. A young man entered the store, pretending to be interested in purchasing a bike. After inspecting a few motorcycles, he showed particular interest in a Bullet model.
Gaining Sheikh’s trust, the young man mentioned that he would take the bike for a quick test ride. However, when he failed to return, Sheikh became suspicious. After a long wait and a search, it was clear the man had vanished with the bike. Sheikh immediately informed his employer and filed a complaint with the police.
Kondhwa police are actively searching for the absconding thief. Crime Branch Inspector Manasinh Patil visited the scene, and Assistant Police Inspector Amit Shete is currently leading the investigation.
