Pune to Welcome Its First Apple Store in September
Apple is set to open its first official store in Pune at KOPA Mall, Koregaon Park, in early September. Spanning 10,000 sq ft, this will be the company’s fourth exclusive outlet in India, following its flagship stores in Mumbai and Delhi, and ahead of another upcoming launch in Bengaluru.
Senior Apple executives from the US are expected to attend the inauguration, which comes just days before the company’s global launch event on September 9, where the latest iPhone will be unveiled.
The Pune store marks another step in Apple’s broader India strategy, which includes boosting local iPhone manufacturing to cut dependence on China. At KOPA Mall, the store site is currently barricaded, with finishing touches underway on the interiors.
