Pune: Today Is The Last Day to Avail PMC Property Tax Rebate, Citizens Urged to Pay
A notice is issued for public awareness and to facilitate smooth and timely payment of property taxes by Madhav Jagtap, Deputy Commissioner, Tax Collection and Assessment Department, PMC.
The Tax Assessment and Collection Department is the primary source of revenue for Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). The department has a wide network of fifteen regional offices, 56 communication offices, a total of 71 offices.
PMC Appealed to citizens to pay property tax on time to avail rebate on the tax bills if the total bill is paid before 15/06/2024 (today is the last day to avail special discount) of 5 to 10 percent on the property tax.
PMC has collected significant revenue from property tax between April 1, 2024 to June 14, 2024, wherein 6,75,193 property holders have paid Rs 1217.77 crores property tax, wherein 12.76 percent (86,136) property holders have paid Rs 382.88 crores by cheques, while 17.09 percent (1,15,384) property holders have paid Rs 125.19 crores in cash. Also, the highest percentage is recorded where over 70.15 percent (4,73,673) property holders have paid through online payment systems and a payment of Rs 771.69 crores was received.
Key Points:
Taxpayers who pay their full tax amount between 01/04/2024 and 15/06/2024 are eligible for a 5% to 10% rebate. This rebate is available until the last day of the payment period, i.e., 15/06/2024.
Taxpayers are encouraged to make their payments online through the PMC’s property tax website [propertytax.punecorporation.org](https://propertytax.punecorporation.org) to avoid delays and ensure timely payment.
The Citizen Facilitation Centers (CFCs) will be open on Saturday, 15/06/2024, from 9 AM to 9:00 PM to assist with tax payments.
