Pune tops in India
It is the seven month that Covid19 pandemic has caused havoc. Despite the precautions, strict measures and treatments the cases are rapidly increasing in India. In Maharashtra, Pune division has seen rise in Covid19 cases in the last few weeks. Now, Pune has the highest number of Covid19 cases in the country and is on top of the list in Covid19 affected cities.
Divisional commissioner of Pune Saurabh Rao on Monday September 14, 2020 informed that over 2,46,236 patients have recovered from Covid19 whereas 3 lakh 31 thousand 319 have been the total patients affected due to Covid19 so far.
As on today Pune division has 76,364 active cases whereas 8,539 patients have died due to Corona. The death rate is 2.58 percent while 74.36 percent is the recovery rate.
Pune district has over 2,24,826 covid patients while 1,78,393 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 41,401 are active covid19 patients. A total of 5,032 patients have died. Death rate of patients due to Covid 19 is 2.24 percent while the recovery rate is 79.35 percent.
Till today, in Pune division over 14 lakh 73 thousand 239 samples have been tested out of which 3lakh 31 thousand 139 are positive reports.
The rising number of cases is only adding to the worries of the administration as well as citizens.
