As part of the annual Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi processions, the Pune Traffic Police have announced significant traffic changes from June 20 to June 23, 2025

These processions are a central feature of Maharashtra’s Warkari tradition, and this year, thousands of devotees are expected to walk alongside the ceremonial Paduka (sacred footwear) of the revered saints.

To ensure the smooth flow of the procession and public safety, heavy vehicles will not be permitted on key routes, and several roads in Alandi, Dehu, Khadki, Shivajinagar, and central Pune will be fully or partially closed. The public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel and use suggested alternate routes.
