In a tragic motorcycle accident, a woman lost her life, while her husband, who was driving the motorcycle, got injured. This incident took place in the TilakeNagar area of Kondhwa.
The victim is identified as Punita Devi Vijaykumar Singh, aged 46, living at Venkatesh Galaxy Apartment, Kamthe Patil Nagar, Kondhwa. Her husband, Vijaykumar Shivmangal Singh, aged 53, was the one injured in the accident and is currently receiving medical care at the hospital.
A case has been filed in the incident against Vijaykumar at the Kondhwa police station. The police reported that Vijaykumar was driving the vehicle and Punita Devi was riding pillion on Tuesday (12th) in the Tilake Nagar area when the incident occurred. Sudden braking caused the motorcycle to skid, resulting in both Vijaykumar and Punita Devi falling off the bike. Unfortunately, Punita Devi sustained a severe head injury.
They were rushed to Sassoon Hospital, where Punita Devi, unfortunately, passed away during treatment. Police Sub-Inspector Pooja Patil is currently investigating the incident.
