Pune: Tree Collapses Near Garware College, Injures Citizens and Damages Vehicles
Pune – A large thorny tree collapsed near Garware College on Tuesday morning due to strong winds, injuring several people and causing damage to multiple vehicles. The incident occurred in a busy area, leading to significant traffic congestion.
According to initial reports, one of the injured individuals has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The fallen tree crushed several parked two-wheelers and four-wheelers along the roadside.
Following the collapse, the fire brigade promptly arrived at the scene and began efforts to clear the tree. Police have increased security in the area, and authorities have urged citizens to avoid gathering at the spot.
An eyewitness shared, “I was drinking juice when the wind suddenly picked up and the tree came crashing down. A few cars got trapped underneath.”
Efforts are ongoing to restore normalcy in the area.
