Pune: Tree Falls on Road in Bhugaon, Traps Car; All Occupants Rescued Safely by NDA Fire Brigade
Pune, 27 July 2025: In a dramatic incident near Bhugaon, a large tree collapsed on the road behind Elora Wines, trapping a four-wheeler underneath its heavy branches. Fortunately, all four occupants of the vehicle managed to exit safely before rescue teams arrived.
The car was carrying members of the Amale family:
- Ananda Amale (70)
- Vijaya Amale (65)
- Rohidas Amale (38)
- Ganesh Amale (36)
Responding swiftly, personnel from the NDA fire brigade conducted the rescue operation using chainsaws and axes to remove the fallen tree and free the vehicle. Traffic movement on the affected road was restored soon after.
The operation was led by Chief Officer Sunil Name, along with Tandel Gawade, firemen Ubhe, Mane, Naikanavare, Thopate, and driver Gogavale. Their prompt and efficient action ensured no injuries were reported and the situation was brought under control quickly.
