In a visionary move aligned with the Government of India’s Startup India initiative, Rajesh Bhatia, Founder of Tree House High School, has rolled out a first-of-its-kind program exclusively for his school’s students. The ₹10 lakh Startup Challenge is open only for students of Tree House High School, giving them an unprecedented opportunity to present their innovative business ideas and compete for seed funding.

Bhatia, who was an investment banker before starting Tree House Education and Accessories Ltd., brings a rare mix of financial expertise and educational foresight to this initiative. His family office already backs young entrepreneurs with promising concepts, and this program extends that support to his own school community.

The challenge aims to cultivate entrepreneurial thinking at an early stage by encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and leadership among Tree House students. Instead of waiting for college, participants will gain hands-on exposure through mentorship sessions, brainstorming workshops, and expert guidance on building sustainable business models.

A unique aspect of the program is that Rajesh Bhatia himself will personally evaluate the startup pitches and select the most promising venture for funding support.

Sharing his vision, Bhatia said, “This initiative is designed to give our students the courage to dream beyond academics and the confidence to execute their ideas. With the Startup India movement inspiring the nation, Tree House High School students should be leading the charge.”

By introducing this challenge exclusively for its own students, Tree House High School strengthens its role as more than just an educational institution—it is becoming a launchpad for future innovators and entrepreneurs.
