Pune: Vedanta Society In Wakad Held Blood Donation Camp To Commemorate Great Leaders
Pune, June 10, 2025: In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Vedanta Society organized a blood donation camp on 8th June at Vedanta Society, Wakad in association with Jankalyan Blood Center Pune . This noble initiative was undertaken to honor the legacies of several great leaders whose anniversaries are observed around this time of year.
The camp was organized to commemorate Shivaji Maharaj Rajyabhishek Din (Hindu Samrajya Din) on June 9, Mahatma Basaveshwar Jayanti on April 29, Ahilyabai Holkar Jayanti on May 31, Veer Savarkar Jayanti on May 28, and Mahaveer Jayanti on April 21.
Through this initiative, the Vedanta Society aims to give back to the community and create a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need. Their ongoing efforts to promote social welfare and community service are truly commendable.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from residents of Vedanta Society and neighboring societies, who came forward enthusiastically to donate blood and support this noble cause.
The successful execution of this camp was made possible under the leadership of Dr. Somnath Dhonde (Chairman), with the dedicated support of Sneha Rao (Secretary), Pramod Bhosale (Treasurer), and committee members Sumant Deshpande, Nikhil Muly, Parag Rudrawar, Mayur Waghmare, Amol Kulkarni, Vinayak Kadam, Madan Patil, and Niti Pathak.
