Pune Vidhan Sabha Polls 2024: NCP Candidate Sunil Shelke Faces Charges For Violating Election Rules In Maval
Pimpri: A case has been filed against Maval constituency candidate and MLA Sunil Shelke, from Ajit Pawar’s NCP faction, along with one other person, for conducting an election campaign procession past the 10 PM limit, breaching election rules. The procession reportedly continued until 11:45 PM.
In this regard, election department official Deepak Bhaurao Rakshe (53, resident of Somatne Phata) lodged a complaint at Shirgaon police station. Consequently, a case was filed under Indian Penal Code Section 223 against MLA Shelke (45) and Namdev Sawleram Dabhade (both residents of Talegaon Dabhade).
