Pune: Violence Erupts at Ganga Florentina Society After Delivery Dispute
Pune, August 7, 2025: Tensions flared at the Ganga Florentina Housing Society in Mohammedwadi on Wednesday night following a dispute between a Blinkit delivery executive and a security guard, which escalated into a violent altercation involving outsiders.
The incident occurred around 8:30 PM when the delivery agent arrived to complete a delivery and was allegedly stopped by the guard over parking issues within the society premises. Eyewitnesses reported a heated exchange between the two, which soon turned aggressive.
Minutes later, the delivery boy is said to have made a phone call, following which six unidentified men arrived at the scene. The group reportedly attacked the security guard, creating panic among residents and raising serious safety concerns in the gated community.
A member of the society’s managing committee condemned the violence, stating, “Such actions cannot be tolerated. We are in full support of the police and demand strict action.”
Local police have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and recording statements to identify the attackers and determine the sequence of events.
