User complained, “Not even a bit of rain, and the power failure issue resumes in Pune. Why charge us more for electricity when stability is a joke for you?”

Some residents criticized the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), questioning the city’s infrastructure resilience against minor showers. In response, MSEDCL apologized for the inconvenience and encouraged users to report power failures via missed call at 022-50897100 or SMS ‘NOPOWER’ to 9930399303 for faster resolution.

BJP MLA Issues Caution Amid Heavy Showers

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Kasba Peth, Hemant Rasane, advised Pune residents to remain cautious while commuting as the roads have become slippery due to continuous rainfall. “The IMD has issued an orange alert for Pune, and some areas are witnessing heavy showers. Be careful while driving as wet roads increase the risk of slipping,” he said.

Mumbaikars Brace for Rainfall

According to IMD’s latest forecast, Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar will witness light to moderate rainfall in the coming days. The Regional Meteorological Department, Mumbai, has also issued alerts for various districts, urging residents to stay prepared for possible thunderstorms and hailstorms.
