IMD informs of warm nights this week

It is expected that the city will experience above-average night temperatures, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Additionally, IMD officials have predicted that a thick layer of haze will be present in the early mornings over the next 72 hours. The minimum temperatures during these warm nights are anticipated to range between 17-19 degrees Celsius.

The officials have stated that the sky will be cloudy in the afternoon, while hazy conditions will dominate in the morning. Until 9am on Sunday, certain parts of the city experienced haze. Shivajinagar and Lohegaon recorded temperatures of 17.7 degrees Celsius and 19.1 degrees Celsius respectively, which were three degrees and 4.1 degrees Celsius higher than normal.

Many regions in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha, in addition to Pune city, experienced higher than usual night temperatures. Specifically, in Madhya Maharashtra, the temperatures ranged from 17 to 21.5 degrees on Sunday. The forecast mentioned that the night temperatures in these areas were significantly above normal, ranging from 1.6 to 3 degrees.

On November 15 and 16, there is a possibility of light-intensity rainfall as the current sky conditions are partly overcast. Pune city had previously encountered rainfall spells in early November. Since October 1, the city has accumulated a rainfall measurement of 46.4mm.
