Pune, February 24, 2025 – Western Maharashtra is witnessing fluctuating weather conditions, with a rise in temperatures following a brief spell of cloudy skies. While certain areas experienced overcast conditions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has confirmed that no rain is expected today.

Temperature Trends Across Key Cities

  • Pune: Maximum temperature expected to reach 36°C, with a minimum of 14°C. The city will experience clear skies, and temperatures are gradually increasing.
  • Satara: Maximum temperature of 36°C and a minimum of 20°C. Partly cloudy skies persist, but no rain is predicted.
  • Sangli: A high of 37°C and a low of 21°C. Despite earlier rain forecasts, only overcast conditions remain.
  • Solapur: The hottest in the region, with a maximum of 38°C and a minimum of 23°C. Authorities advise residents to take precautions against the heat.
  • Kolhapur: Expected to reach 35°C, with a low of 24°C. Partly cloudy skies, with a potential temperature rise in the coming days.

Weather Alert & Precautions

The IMD has issued a yellow heat alert for Mumbai on February 24 due to rising temperatures. While some parts of western Maharashtra were predicted to receive light rain on February 23, conditions remain dry, with rising temperatures now taking precedence.

With temperatures climbing steadily, residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak hours, and take necessary precautions against heat-related illnesses.
