Pune Weather Update: Koregaon Park Hits 38°C As Heatwave Grips The City
Pune: The state is witnessing significant temperature fluctuations, with maximum temperatures crossing 35°C while minimum temperatures in North Maharashtra have dropped by 10°C. This contrast is causing chilly mornings and hot afternoons across many regions.
In the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning (12th), Akola recorded the highest temperature at 36.8°C, whereas Niphad experienced the lowest at 8°C. Meanwhile, Fatehpur in Rajasthan recorded the lowest temperature in the plains of India at 6.1°C.
Most areas in the state have minimum temperatures ranging between 12°C and 22°C, while several locations, including Akola, Brahmapuri, Washim, and Solapur, recorded temperatures above 36°C. Cities like Wardha, Amravati, Yavatmal, Jeur, Chandrapur, Parbhani, and Nagpur also saw temperatures exceeding 35°C. The difference between maximum and minimum temperatures in Maharashtra is currently between 15°C and 23°C, leading to extreme weather conditions.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted further temperature variations today (13th), with a possibility of fluctuations in both maximum and minimum temperatures.
