Pune: A 66-year-old labourer lost his life after falling from a tree while cutting its branches in a housing society in Baner. The tragic incident took place around 4:30 PM on June 27 at Ruturang Park Society.

The deceased has been identified as Lahu Gulab Kshirsagar, a resident of Ingawale Chowk in Pimple Nilakh. Following the incident, his son, Amol Kshirsagar (34), filed a complaint at Baner Police Station.

According to the police, the society had hired a contractor, Ramesh Vaman Londhe, to carry out tree-cutting work near the compound. The contractor, in turn, had appointed several workers, including Lahu Kshirsagar, to complete the task.
