Pune, October 1, 2025: Jalindarnagar Primary School, a Pune Zilla Parishad (ZP) institution, has been honoured with the Community Choice Award in the World’s Best Schools recognition by T4 Education, a global educational organisation.
The award recognises the school’s innovative approach, social impact, and holistic student development, according to a press release from the Pune Zilla Parishad.
Once facing the threat of closure, the school in Khed taluka, Pune district, transformed through active community participation and engagement. It is now the only Indian government-run Marathi medium school to be selected for this prestigious global recognition.
Jalindarnagar Primary School is particularly celebrated for its peer learning system, where older and younger students teach each other. This approach has made learning more interactive, enjoyable, and effective, setting a model for other schools across the country.
