"Pyaar, Dhoka Aur Maut": Man Ends Life on Railway Tracks, Woman Booked for Abetment
Pune: In a tragic case of love gone wrong, a 30-year-old man allegedly ended his life by lying in front of a moving train after a woman he was in a relationship with refused to marry him. Following the incident, Pune police have registered an FIR against the woman for alleged abetment to suicide.
The deceased, identified as Ganesh Raju Singh (30), was a resident of Vaiduwadi, Hadapsar. His sister filed a complaint at Wanavdi police station on Friday, leading to legal action against the 26-year-old woman.
Love, Betrayal & Tragedy
According to the complaint, Ganesh was in a relationship with the woman, who lived in his neighborhood. She had reportedly assured him of marriage and allegedly took money from him over time. However, she later refused to marry him, which left him devastated. In a state of frustration, he allegedly took the extreme step on February 8.
Following an initial probe, Pune police registered an FIR under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, booking the woman for abetment to suicide. The case is currently under investigation by Police Sub-Inspector Avinash Shinde.
