Rahul Kalate demands for new tax office for Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale region

Wakad corporator Rahul Kalate has requested a separate tax office for Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale area in his letter to the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) administration, as the old office is in Thergaon.
The three former areas, faces burden of increasing tax payers as the estimated count is more than one lakh.
The old taxpaying office is in Thergaon and is under immense burden and also the areas of Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale are rapidly developing as informed by Kalate through his letter to the administration. While talking to Pune Pulse, he said, “If you witness the development in the three areas of Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale, there is a need for independent tax paying office. Also, the residents, too, face the problem when they have to go all the way to Thergaon for paying the tax.”
He further said, “Earlier, too, I have taken the stand on this issue, but this time we will be taking continuous follow up over the issue.”
