Railway Division undertakes development work at Akurdi station under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme

Pune: Under the Amrit Bharat station scheme, the Railway Division is doing infrastructure and development work at Akurdi station.

As per further information shared by the Railway Division, the infrastructure & development work has been going on for the last 1 or 2 months.

Following are the complete details of the work at Akurdi Station:

· Total cost of the entire project is Rs 33.80 Crores

· Foundation work for platform cover over shed under progress

· Levelling and foundation work for soft upgradation works under progress

Ø Facilities Being Developed at Akurdi Station:

· 12 meters wide Foot Overbridge

· 2 Lifts

· 2 Escalators

· 2 entry gates

· Improvement in the circulating area

· Landscape enhancement

· Additional Platform covershed

· Uniform Signages

· Pedestrian pathways

· Parking

The Railway Division plans to complete the development work of Akurdi Station by the next year i.e. 2024.
