New Delhi, May 9, 2025: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a high-level meeting at South Block on Friday to assess the security situation along India’s western border and review the operational preparedness of the Armed Forces.

The meeting brought together the top military leadership, including Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh was also present.

The discussions focused on recent developments along the western frontier and measures being taken by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force to ensure readiness and deterrence. The Defence Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of vigilance and coordination among all branches of the military.
