Rickshaw Driver Arrested for Assaulting Traffic Police Officer in Ulhasnagar
Ulhasnagar, Friday: A traffic altercation took a violent turn on Friday when a rickshaw driver and his companions assaulted a traffic police officer after a minor accident on the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj flyover at Ulhasnagar Camp No-3. The incident occurred around 3 pm when traffic police officer Mohan Patil questioned a rickshaw driver about hitting a woman’s Activa scooter during a traffic jam caused by ongoing pothole repairs.

In response to the inquiry, the rickshaw driver, along with two others, attacked the officer. While the police managed to arrest one of the assailants, the other two fled the scene. A case has been registered at the Central Police Station, and authorities are continuing their search for the remaining suspects.
Police officials have condemned the attack, emphasizing the need for respect towards law enforcement officials. Further investigation is underway.
