The soundtrack of Saiyaara, Mohit Suri’s latest film featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is turning heads not just in India but across the world. Produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani, the film’s music has garnered immense appreciation, with the title song making an unprecedented entry into Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart. This Bollywood track has outperformed global superstars like Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga, marking a significant milestone for Indian cinema music on the international stage.

The music album of Saiyaara is a collective effort by composers Tanishk Bagchi, Farheem Habib, and Arslan. Alongside the title track, other songs such as Barbaad (Reprise) sung by Jubin Nautiyal and Shilpa Rao, Tum Ho Toh by Vishal Mishra, Humsafar by Sachet-Parampara, and Saiyaara (Reprise) by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal have been dominating India’s musical landscape, ranking within the top 10 on Spotify’s India Top 50 chart.

In a remarkable feat, the Saiyaara title track climbed all the way to #8 on Spotify’s Global Top 50, a first for any Bollywood song. While other Indian songs like Hanumankind’s Big Dawgs have appeared on this prestigious list, none have soared as high as Saiyaara. At the time of reporting, the track trails behind international hits such as HUNTR/X’s Golden, Tyler’s Big Poe, Justin Bieber’s Daisies, and BLACKPINK’s Jump.

What makes this achievement even more impressive is that the Saiyaara title song has outperformed tracks by global icons including Billie Eilish’s Birds of a Feather, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars’ Die with a Smile, and Sabrina Carpenter’s Manchild on the Spotify Global chart. This is a testament to the growing global appeal of Bollywood music and the universal resonance of Saiyaara’s soundtrack.

The excitement around the song’s success is palpable among the film’s cast and their families. Ahaan Panday’s sister, social media influencer Alanna Panday, and their cousin, Bollywood actress Ananya Panday, have been vocal supporters of the song’s rise. Ananya shared a screenshot showing the track at #7 on the Spotify Global Top 50, encouraging fans by saying, “Saiyaara on global charts top 50 on Spotify, how crazy! I’m doing my bit to take it to number 1 now. Let’s do it India #OnLoop.” Alanna echoed the enthusiasm, posting, “#Saiyaara hit Spotify Global Charts #7.”
