'Bishnoi Ko Bheju Kya?': Security Breach at Salman Khan's Shooting Location; Man Cites Lawrence Bishnoi During Altercation
Mumbai Police’s Traffic Control unit received a new death threat against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding that he either visit a temple to apologize for the blackbuck case or pay ₹5 crore. According to the threat message, purportedly sent by someone claiming to be Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, the gang warned that if Salman Khan did not comply, he would be killed.
“If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our (Bishnoi community) temple and apologize or pay ₹5 crore. If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active,” read the message received on Monday. Mumbai Police have intensified security measures around Khan and are investigating the source of the message to determine its connection to Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in jail facing multiple charges, including attempted murder and extortion.
The Mumbai Police confirmed that the process to register a case is ongoing at Worli Police Station, and the sender’s number is being traced. This is not the first recent threat against the actor. Last month, the Mumbai Traffic Police received a similar message demanding ₹2 crore, after which a Bandra resident, Azam Mohammed Mustafa, was arrested in connection with the threat.
Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra (West) has been a frequent target of such threats. In April, suspected members of the Bishnoi gang reportedly fired shots outside his home. Following this incident, Khan’s security was reinforced. Additionally, last month, a man from Jamshedpur was arrested for allegedly issuing a threat message demanding ₹5 crore. In a separate case, the police apprehended a man from Noida for making death threats against both Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique.
In light of ongoing threats, the Mumbai Police remain vigilant in monitoring potential risks and have stepped up protective measures for the actor.
