Mumbai – Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu reportedly turned down an alimony of ₹200 crore following her divorce from actor Naga Chaitanya. The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, officially parted ways in 2021 with mutual consent.

The topic resurfaced amid discussions about cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma’s divorce, where Verma is expected to receive an alimony of ₹4.75 crore. Comparisons were also drawn with Sussanne Khan, who allegedly received ₹380 crore in alimony after her divorce from Hrithik Roshan.

Reports suggest that Samantha was initially offered ₹200 crore but chose to decline it. Some sources claim she was given ₹50 crore but did not accept any amount. A source was quoted saying, “Samantha, who was heartbroken and distraught, only sought love and companionship from her marriage. Now that it has ended, she does not wish for anything else from it.”

He further added, “It became a headline, a topic of gossip, entertainment. But it was a conscious decision made with much thought and respect. Coming from a broken family, I know the repercussions of a failed relationship, and I thought 1,000 times before making this decision.”

Both Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have since moved on. The actor reportedly married actress Sobhita Dhulipala in December 2024.
