Scrap Spills From Overturned Truck, Causes Major Traffic Block On Mumbai Pune Expressway

Scrap Spill from Overturned Truck Causes Major Traffic Block on Mumbai-Pune Expressway
On Friday Evening the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, traffic was severely disrupted when scrap metal from a truck spilled onto the Pune-bound lane. The incident occurred in Borghat on the old Mumbai-Pune highway, where an unusual accident led to the blockage of traffic.
On Friday evening, a truck carrying scrap material lost control near Battery Hill in Borghat, resulting in an overturned truck and debris spread across the expressway. Due to this accident, vehicles heading toward Mumbai were moving at a slow pace.
The truck, loaded with scrap material destined for a steel factory, was on its way toward Khopoli. The driver lost control near the bridge at Battery Hill, causing the truck to topple and spill its load onto the Pune-bound lane of the expressway. This led to a disruption of traffic on the expressway, with vehicles moving at a very slow pace and long queues forming.
Traffic on the old highway was also partially affected. Efforts are currently underway to clear the road and restore normal traffic flow.
