Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has won his first-ever National Film Award after more than 30 years in the industry. He received the award for Best Actor from President Droupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhavan, Delhi, for his performance in Atlee’s 2023 blockbuster Jawan. Dressed in a black suit, SRK was accompanied by his manager, Pooja Dadlani.

The actor, currently shooting for his upcoming film King, specially flew back to India to attend the ceremony. The winners had been announced in August, after which SRK had shared an emotional message thanking his fans, family, and colleagues.

Actor Vikrant Massey also won the Best Actor award for his role in 12th Fail, a film inspired by the real-life journey of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame hardships to become an IPS officer. Massey dedicated the honour to “all marginalised people fighting daily socio-economic struggles.”
